Toa Hordika were Toa who were injected with the Visorak Venom and began to transform into horrific bestial forms. In this new half-beast half-Toa form they had to fight to keep their primal rage in check and stop the mutation from becoming permanent. The only species which could reverse this mutation was the Rahi Keetongu's species. After the Toa Metru returned to Metru Nui to rescue the Matoran, the whole team was turned into Toa Hordika. The mutation didn't become permanent and they later found Keetongu who cured them.
