Toa Canisters

Toa Canisters were made in various places and were to be used by Toa to travel. They were made in groups of six due to the logic that a Seventh Toa would mean that darkness had come. If there was no seventh canister, there would be no Seventh Toa.

• When Lewa emerged from his canister on Mata Nui, his legs and one of his arms came off. It took him some time to reassemble himself.
• Lewa was quite happy when he arrived on Voya Nui that he did not lose any of his limbs.
• The Matoran Jaller, Hahli, Kongu, Hewkii, Nuparu and Matoro got into canisters in the land of Karzahni to get away from its ruler. They took a risk in doing so, because normally no one with less than the power of a Toa can survive the use of a canister. When their canisters arrived at Voya Nui, six bolts of lightning from the Red Star struck them, transforming them into Toa.
