The Skrall were a species of warriors led by Tuma that lived in the northern parts of Bara Magna. They were faster, stronger, and overall more dangerous than any other Glatorian, causing them to dominate in the arena. Because of their good fighting record, they tended to be arrogant; in person, Skrall could be downright nasty. The Warrior Class Skrall carried saw blade shields and Thornax Launchers. Many of the Elite Class Skrall carried Thorned Clubs and Thornax Launchers. A Skrall was not allowed to have a name, not even a nickname, unless granted by Tuma. This would only happen if the Skrall had done something significant for the species.

The Skrall were soldiers in the Energized Protodermis War on Spherus Magna under the Element Lord of Rock. They somehow ended up on Bara Magna after The Shattering, and settled in the northern parts of the planet. Later, they were attacked by Baterra, shapeshifting beings who killed many Skrall, and moved south to avoid extinction. More than a year later, they attacked the Arena Magna during the Great Tournament, killing many Glatorian and Agori.

Skrall Glatorian are arrogant, vicious, brutal, fear nothing and care about even less. They are just waiting for the opportunity to start taking whatever they want, whenever they want it. They are incredibly skilled fighters, both with and without weapons. What they may lack in technique they make up for with sheer bludgeoning power and strength.

The Skrall set released in 2009 is representative of a specific Skrall, not a general example of the species. However, this Skrall has not received an individual name, and as such is just called "Skrall". It was set number 8978 with a piece count of 50.

All Warrior Class Skrall looked about the same, and their secondary color could also vary. This also applied for the Elite Class Skrall.
