The Red Star was a mysterious object in the skies of Mata Nui and Voya Nui. It was used to predict the future, and it was responsible for the coming and transformation of the Toa Inika, electrocuting their normal Matoran bodies with exotic energy until they mutated. Gali later realized that there was something alive inside the Star by looking at it through a telescope with her Akaku activated. The Red Star could be seen from Bara Magna. When Tarduk was cleaning up the Arena Magna, he found a bit of metal where the only thing colored was the Red Star. The Red Star was involved in the Matoran Universe's transportation, however, it could travel without it.
