Nuhrii was a Ta-Matoran on Mata Nui (Island) and Metru Nui.

Nuhrii was jealous of Vakama because his former student made finer masks than him, and Vakama was even asked personally by Turaga Dume to assist in the making of a Mask of Time. Nuhrii's jealousy made him angry with Vakama and, determined to find fame, he was easily tricked by Ahkmou. Nuhrii most often carried a level 3 Remove Poison Kanoka, due to the amount of poisonous reptiles in Ta-Metru. Nuhrii parted ways with the other Matoran and sought to find the Ta-Metru Great Disk to forge it into the ultimate mask of power. He was found by Vakama, then a Toa, and had to lead him and Onewa to the Ta-Metru Disk. When the Toa Metru were in danger inside the Great Furnace, he fused with the other five Matoran into a Matoran Nui, allowing the Toa to defeat the Morbuzakh. After leaving the other Matoran from the Great Furnace, Nuhrii was captured by Vahki and placed into a Matoran sphere on Teridax's orders.

On Mata Nui, Nuhrii's name was changed to Nuri through unknown circumstances but has since been changed back. He guarded the gates of Ta-Koro, wearing a new dark grey Kanohi Kaukau. He has since returned to Metru Nui and was helping to rebuild it until the Staff of Artakha was activated.
