- “Then a huge head rose from the steaming mercury. Makuta? No, it wasn't the dark one — at least not completely. It was the merged face of Takanuva and Makuta — half Mask of Light, half Mask of Shadows.”

Notable Wearer(s) | Takutanuva (Formerly) |
The Great Mask of Light and Shadow was a Kanohi that gave its user all the powers of the Avohkii and the Kraahkan. The Mask of Light and Shadow was created along with Takutanuva after Takanuva and Teridax fell into Energized Protodermis. When he was crushed, the mask split back into the Avohkii and the Kraahkan as Takutanuva also split back into Takanuva and Teridax.
Powers[]
Since the Great Mask of Light and Shadow was created from the Avohkii and the Kraahkan, it possessed all of the powers of both masks. It gave Takutanuva both Toa-level and range of control over the Element of Light, as well as Makuta-level and range of control over the Element of Shadow. While it gave its user the powers of Light and Shadow, it did not boost any preexisting Light and Shadow powers Takutanuva already possessed. Additionally, it also gave its user the power to sense the moral light and darkness in others. The mask was also capable of generating the emotions of anger and fear in a target, or instead give them peace and understanding.
