[edit] Metru Nui
Not much is known about his life in Metru Nui before the Great Cataclysm except that he was put into a Matoran pod and moved up to Mata Nui.

Makani was a Musician of Le-Koro, his job was to welcome the visitors when they came in through the gates. Once during the Bohrok saga, he had had his mask replaced by a krana for a short period.
[edit] Return to Metru Nui
After about 1,000 years on Mata Nui, Makani returned to Metru Nui with the other Matoran and the Turaga. He then helped to rebuild it until the Staff of Artakha was used to repair the rest of the city. He had also attended the ceremony held for Matoro at the Coliseum.
