Makuta Now, I will protect Mata Nui from you!

Some of the contents of this article are non-canon, meaning that they are not a part of the BIONICLE story. Be warned that this article is about as true as Makuta protecting Mata Nui.

Life Counters were non-canon circular devices included with some of the sets of 2009. They had a scale from 5 going down to 1, plus a skull marking for "death", or, "defeat", that was between the 1 and 5. They were used in the "Bionicle Action Figure Game."

PlacementEdit

Life Counters were placed on various places of the sets. Most sets in the Glatorian line, and all of those in the Glatorian Legends line had a life Counter placed on the upper back of a figure. The (2009) Skrall set as well as the Vorox set had them attached to the figures' left foot. They were attached to figures via a certain piece which had the original use as a chest plate for the Toa Metru.

Glatorian ArenaEdit

In the BIONICLE online games Glatorian Arena, Glatorian Arena 2, and Glatorian Arena 3 there was an animation in each upper-hand corner to keep track of the life for the character controlled by the player, as well as the computer.

Function in Canon StorylineEdit

The Life Counters on the back of most Glatorian in BIONICLE: The Legend Reborn have been confirmed to be small back packs.
