Le-Metru

Le-Metru was the district of Metru Nui where the Le-Matoran lived, and was the control center for most forms of transportation in the city. Order was preserved in the Metru by Vahki Vorzakh.

Nearly 80,000 years before the death of Mata Nui, when the Matoran went to war with each other, the different Metru formed alliances. Le-Metru was part of a coalition of itself, Po-Metru, and Ko-Metru. Eventually, the Brotherhood of Makuta intervened and ended the fighting (none too gently), and the hostility between the Metru dissolved.
Along with the rest of the city, Le-Metru was badly damaged during the Great Cataclysm. The Matoran had taken refuge on the island of Mata Nui for many years. Meanwhile, back in the city, the Le-Metru chute stations had been terribly damaged and made into the web-choaked lair of the Keelerak, after the after the Visorak conquered the once glorious City of Legends. 1,000 years after the Toa Hordika got rid of the horde of poisoners, they returned to Metru Nui with the Matoran, as Turaga. They were soon made Turaga of the Metru of their element by Dume and wasted no time in setting the Matoran to work rebuilding the city. Le-Metru was given priority during the restoration due to its importance to transportation. Shortly before the invasion of Karda Nui, Metru Nui, and the rest of the universe, was restored by the power of the Staff of Artahka.
The Age of Toa Lihkan
At this time the Le-Matoran prospered, controlling all transportation around Metru Nui. The city
was full of Chutes and gigantic Airships, which exported all kinds of items from Le-Metru to the
rest of the city. Most Le-Matoran worked at either the Moto-Hub or the Chute System. The Metru
looked like a mechanized jungle with tangled wires and looming chutes everywhere. It is estimated
that almost three-quarters of the Le-Matoran worked either at the Moto-Hub or the Chute System.
