Kratana

Kratana were mysterious creatures that had the power to see the future or past.

Three kratanas were mentioned in the Bionicle Adventures storyline. One attatched itself to Onewa near Teridax's lair, giving him a vision of the upcoming Visorak invasion, and the other attacked Vakama while he was in Metru Nui and gave him a vision of Krakua. The one that attatched itself to Onewa was incinerated by Vakama, but the one on Vakama was pulled off by Teridax. Its fate remains unknown. The third was attached to Takanuva by Helryx and Krakua so he could see the Toa Nuva's past.

Little is known about when, why, and how these things came into existence. It is known, however, that Krana were not created from it, and Kraata weren't based off it. Many of these mysteries will be revealed in BIONICLE Legends 10: Swamp of Secrets, when these creatures are to be explained.

[edit] Abilities and Traits

A "Kratana" looks like a cross between a Krana and a Kraata, having the long body of a Kraata and detailed ridge marks along its body like a Krana. It would affix itself to a being's face much like a Krana, although, unlike Krana, it could still attach itself even if the target was still wearing a mask.

The "Kratana" had the ability to give others visions of the future. How this works is unknown, although it is a natural power of the "Kratana."
