Klakk were bat-like Rahi that were created by Makuta Mutran. They could create powerful sonic screams, which could quell a Makuta, destroy the barrier that keeps light from naturally returning to a being, and reverse the effects of a Shadow leech, an Avsa, or Gorast's stinger, thus changing whoever was affected by any of those things back to normal. The first Matoran to return from being a Shadow Matoran to normal by the Klakk was Vican. The Klakk have also cured Takanuva, Gavla, Kirop, and Radiak, though Gavla didn't like the change, having stated she felt that she belonged with the Makuta, also having claimed "The shadow was where she belonged." A number of Klakk were also absorbed by Makuta Miserix when they were guarding his prison.
