Kanohi Nuva

The Kanohi Nuva were more advanced forms of Kanohi. Unlike normal Kanohi, the users could share the Kanohi Nuva's power with someone nearby. They were worn by the Toa Nuva after they were immersed in Energized Protodermis. Most of the Kanohi Nuva were created in Artakha and teleported to the island of Mata Nui for the Toa Nuva to use. Each Toa collected one of each type of mask, however, upon entering the Universe Core, they lost the ability to use the masks they had stored on Metru Nui due to Karda Nui's shielding. Only Toa Nuva could use Kanohi Nuva. There were six known types of Kanohi Nuva:

• Hau Nuva
• Akaku Nuva
• Miru Nuva
• Pakari Nuva
• Kakama Nuva
• Kaukau Nuva

If they were combined in Kaita form they could also create:

• Aki Nuva
• Rua Nuva

• The Toa Nuva's got new shapeshifting Kanohi Nuva when they received their Adaptive Armor. However, their powers were the same.
• Setwise, Trinuma has a Hau Nuva. It is not a Nuva mask in the story, however.
• All Kanohi Nuva affected both the user and nearby beings of their choice.
