Jovan was a Toa of Magnetism and later a Turaga, the Turaga of Voya Nui. He was a member of the first Toa team to ever successfully reach the Mask of Life and put it to use. He died in the Great Cataclysm.

[edit] Great Disruption
79,100 years before the time of the Toa Inika. The Great Disruption caused by the Metru Nui Civil War, weakened Great Spirit Mata Nui significantly. It was Jovan's team's destiny to get the Mask of Life and heal him and to prevent his death.
The Toa team somehow made it to the Chamber of Life without being noticed by any Matoran. The team battled various guards and traps in the chamber and retrieved the Ignika, which they then brought to Karda Nui to restore life to Mata Nui. After the Ignika's use resulted in the death of a Toa, the remaining members of the team returned it to the Chamber of Life via an Olmak.
[edit] Voya Nui
After rescuing Mata Nui, Jovan became a Turaga. He became the guardian of the village of Voya Nui on the Mainland, and died in the Great Cataclysm.
[edit] Powers and Traits
Jovan controlled magnetism, meaning he could increase or decrease the magnetism within a limited area, magnetically control metallic objects, as well as other things.
These powers were weakened when he became a Turaga.
[edit] Mask and Tools
Jovan wore the Kanohi Kadin, Great Mask of Flight, which allowed him to soar through the sky. Jovan wore the Noble Mask of Flight as a Turaga.
His Toa Tool was the Magnetic Bolt Launcher. He also carried a very early model of the Zamor Launcher with the power to nullify the targets weapons.
