Infected Kanohi

Infected Kanohi were Kanohi that had been infected by Kraata. They appeared rusted and old, and whoever wore one got under the control of the Makuta who infected it. After the infected mask was knocked off, the being would be temporarily stunned and the Makuta would lose control over them. Teridax infected many Rahi during the 1000-year period before the coming of the Toa Mata, and used them to keep the Matoran living on Mata Nui from getting back to Metru Nui, which was one of the first steps to awakening the Great Spirit.
