Dekar was a Po-Matoran of Mahri Nui, an Aqua Hunter whose job was to bring in food and keep predators away.
Biography[]
Dekar lived on the island Sarda and Idris lived on until their Turaga went mad and sent everyone to Karzahni. However, after Karzahni failed to repair him properly, he was given two blades and sent to the Southern Continent. During the Great Cataclysm, he was on the land that rose to the surface, Voya Nui. There, he settled on the village that sat near the ocean, which eventually sank. The village was named Mahri Nui.
After Kyrehx passed the Mask of Life on to him, he found himself cursed to have all his opponents be immortal. Fearing the mask's power and refusing to let someone else become a victim of the curse, he took the mask and tried to destroy it. After realizing that the mask would use its powers to protect itself, Dekar touched it and was given the knowledge of the entire history of the Mask of Life. Unfortunately, the Barraki soon came and forcibly took the mask from him.
Dekar managed to escape after the mask gave out a great flash. As he started to swim away, he had started to drown. The Kanohi Ignika quickly transformed him into the new Hydraxon before he was able to fully drown. He then became the new jailer of the Pit, and started hunting down escaped prisoners.
He has no memory of his life as a Matoran and believes he is the original, not knowing that the true original died and is on the Red Star.

As an Aqua Hunter, Dekar particularly enjoyed the time to himself that his job afforded.
As a Po-Matoran, Dekar possessed inactive Stone powers which manifested themselves in the form of enhanced strength.
Tools[]
Like Defilak, Dekar carried a pair of Electro-Blades until the Ignika transformed him into the current Hydraxon. Now, he carries Wrist Blades, Exploding Boomerangs and Back Blades. He is also armed with a wrist-mounted Cordak Blaster.
