Toa Mata Onua's Toa Tools were claws which helped him dig, pick up large boulders, etc. They were part of his hands, so he could not remove them. The Earth claws became Quake Breakers after the Toa Mata became Toa Nuva.

- In BIONICLE Heroes, the claws are Nuparu's default weapon. They fire out grenade-like blasts that explode after a few seconds, but can be detonated manually.
- These claws have been reused many times as pieces for other sets.
