[edit] Past in Metru Nui
Not much is known about Brander's past on Metru Nui. He helped Toa Metru Vakama to find Nuhrii while he was looking for the Great Disks.
Later Brander was summoned to the Coliseum with the rest of the Matoran. There he was stuffed into a Matoran Pod and taken away, under the Coliseum. The Toa Metru later rescued him, they took his pod along with the others and placed it into an Airship which took the pods to Mata Nui. Once there, the Toa Metru sacrificed their Toa Power to awaken Brander and the other Matoran. Gradually, Brander lost his memory about the past and became shorter and weaker because of the effect of the sphere he was in.

Brander became a Ta-Matoran Guard Member on Mata Nui. During the Naming Day, after the Bohrok-Kal strike, Brander was rebuilt into a taller, stronger form by the Turaga like the other Matoran. He continued his job as a guard member and told Hahli briefly about his job. When Ta-Koro was destroyed by the Rahkshi, Brander was evacuated from there like the other Matoran.
[edit] Return to Metru Nui
He then returned to Metru Nui along with the Toa Nuva, Turaga and the other Matoran. He helped to rebuild it until the Staff of Artakha was used to repair the rest of the city. He also took part in the ceremonial held for Matoro in the Coliseum.
