2007 is the 7th year of Bionicle and the second year in the Bionicle Legends story arc.

2007 was the year that told the story of what happened right after the events of the previous year on Voya Nui. It started off with the toa Inika accidentely launching the Mask of Life of of the top of the volcanoe were they were fighting vezon and fenrakk/kardas, thus letting the mask drop into the deep ocean to the north. So they went after it but again encountered Vezon, in a short while he was defeated and the toa moved on. They then found a tunnel called the "The stone cord", so they went down it into Mahri Nui. Then while traveling down they were attacked and the cord cracked slightly make a hole in the cord, so the toa went out into the depths through the gaping hole, almost immediatly the water transformed them into toa mahri, new fishlike water breathing toa. So they got accustomed to their new armor and traveled down into the depths. Then they came across The Pit, a humungeous jail housing evils such as the former Toa tuyet. They came across a Ma-mataron named dekkar and his friend deflak. They showed them the way to Mahri nui were the toa made there HQ. On the way toa Jaller(jala) came across a small ussal crab that reminded him of pewku, so he befreinded it. Then Dekkar told them to watch out for barraki, six warlords who were banished for there crimes and sent to the pit to be guarded by hydraxon. But after the great cataclysim they escaped and have been causing havok since. So the toa decided to round them up and put them back in the pit, but what they needed was a jailer, so Dekkar vouluntered to be the host of a ressurected hydraxon. On the way to the pit they were confronted by Pridak and takadox who they fought, but lost, after the Barraki had there good laugh they swam away for more destruction. When the toa got to the pit a humongoeus sentient lifeform named Nocturn arose from a hole in the ground, Hydraxon said he was an escaped a prisoner whos very dangerous, so the toa tried to fight him off but failed, so hydraxon let Nocturn have it, after he was jailed up and forgotten...for now, soon after Mantax and Ehlek broke him out and had a final confrontation with the toa mahri. Then just before the fight, a possesed Maxilos and his pet Spinax came and tried to fight matoro, hydraxon started to fight maxilos and was brutally defeated, but then jallers small ussual crab came to matoro and matoro used his power to make the crab huge, he dubbed him as "Gudunka". So Gudunka easily beat maxilos but Matoro was suprised to see that after gudunka had beate  him, his posseser Makuta(Teridax) had came out and was ready to posses matoro as well, but just then Karazhanii came out of nowere(he had been following the toa since the escaped old arthaka(karazhaniis lair). So Makuta and Matoro made a short alliance and beat Karazhanii to a pulp. But then Makuta turned on matoro and while every one else was fighting Barraki warlords, Matoro was Fighting the leader of the dark brotherhood. Matoro was defeated but Karazhanii arose again and began fighting Makuta, giving matoro just enough time to escape and get the mask of life. After getting the mask and defeating the Barraki he told his fellow toa he would Sacrifice himself to save the dying Mata nui. So they got all the matoran of mahri nui into tunnels under Voya nui, and axxon, botar and brutaka got all the matoran into the tunnels aswell, then the Toa combined all there powers and gave it to Matora, which he then used it to cut the stone cord. then as he and voya nui floated away, the toa gave there farewells, matora led it into the planet core under Karda nui. The as voya nui collapsed down a huge circular waterfall into the planet core he put the mask of life on and used it to teleport his comrades to Metru nui and he then used it to teleport Voya nui back to Mahri nui and he then jumped into the core and blew to oblivion. Later there was a ceremony for Matrora at the Great Colosseum in his honor. It was then that the Toa Nuva were given there new task: Go to Karda Nui, navigate through the Great Swamp and awaken Mata Nui by searching for the Ignika, then activating it in the Codrex.
